The Mechanics of Mediumship:
Essential Foundations for Personal or Professional Use
You’ve felt the pull. Now you’re ready to understand it.
From Wondering What’s Happening to Knowing How to Explore It
Over eight weeks, we’ll move through three important stages.
1. Understand
We’ll take some of the mystery out of mediumship.
You’ll explore spiritual and psychic foundations behind the work and begin developing an experience that may previously have felt confusing or difficult to explain.
Instead of simply wondering What was that?, you’ll have a clearer way to explore the possibilities.
2. Recognize
Mediumistic information is often much subtler than people expect.
It may arrive as an image, thought, feeling, physical sensation, memory, inner knowing, or other impression.
You’ll begin noticing how information naturally presents itself to you while learning the importance of curiosity, discernment, and not assuming that every thought or feeling is communication from Spirit.
3. Practice
As the pieces begin coming together, you’ll learn how to intentionally establish a beginner-level connection, recognize meaningful evidence, work within ethical boundaries, and understand the basic structure of a practice reading.
The goal is to move from simply wondering about mediumship to having something you can intentionally continue practicing.
“This course meets every student exactly where they are.”
— Connie D.
This is a beginning course, not a shortcut to becoming a professional medium.
By the end of our time together, you’ll have a clearer understanding of:
How psychic awareness and mediumship differ and work together
How spirit communication is understood within the framework I teach
The ways intuitive and mediumistic information may present itself
Which ways of receiving information seem most natural for you
How to begin establishing an intentional connection
How to recognize and work with evidential information
How to approach practice with ethics and appropriate boundaries
How a beginner practice reading is structured
What to continue practicing after the course ends
You do not need to know exactly where your mediumship journey will lead.
For some students, this becomes part of a deeper personal spiritual practice.
For others, it becomes the foundation for continued development toward reading for others.
Either way, my goal is for you to leave with something far more useful than a certificate:
A clearer understanding of your own experience and a practical path for continuing your development.
“I’m so glad I took this course. I had a lot of fun, gained confidence, and leveled up my abilities!” — Shonda L.

This Is More Than a Collection of Videos
Mediumship develops through understanding, practice, and experience.
That’s why this course combines teaching with live support and practice opportunities.
Your enrollment includes:
Eight weekly live online classes
Three additional guided practice sessions
Bite-sized teaching videos
Practice guides and learning tools
Live coaching and Q&A
Access to course recordings
A private student community inside Spirit Studio during the program
You’ll have opportunities to ask questions as they arise, learn alongside other beginners, and gradually put what you’re learning into practice.
You aren’t expected to arrive already knowing what you’re doing.
That’s the reason you’re taking the class.
You Don’t Have to Develop in Isolation
Mediumship can feel surprisingly lonely at first.
Maybe your friends or family don’t understand your interest.
Maybe you hesitate to talk about unusual experiences because you aren’t sure how someone will respond.
Or maybe you simply wish you knew other people asking the same questions.
During the course, you’ll have access to a private student space inside Spirit Studio where you can connect with classmates, ask questions, continue conversations from class, and find practice partners.
Sometimes one of the most reassuring discoveries is simply:
I’m not the only one trying to understand this.
You Don’t Have to Perform to Belong Here
Beginning mediumship development should not feel like being thrown into the deep end.
We build gradually.
You’ll learn the foundations first, begin noticing how information naturally presents itself to you, and then have opportunities to practice with guidance and support.
Questions are welcome.
Uncertainty is expected.
And you are not being graded on how quickly you develop, how dramatic your experiences are, or whether your experience looks like someone else’s.
The purpose of practice is not to perform. It is to learn.
“I’d encourage anyone who wanted a very approachable introduction and foundation of mediumship to enroll. The atmosphere is casual and fun. There is no pressure to perform or develop at a certain pace.”
-Bethany B.
Meet Your Study Guide
Hi, I’m Angie.
I’m a former educator turned evidential medium, spiritual teacher, and mentor, and I’ve spent more than two decades studying, practicing, teaching, and deepening my understanding of mediumship.
But long before I became a professional medium, I was simply a sensitive, curious person trying to understand experiences I didn’t have language for.
As a child, I could feel what other people were feeling. I sometimes sensed the presence of Spirit and knew things without understanding how I knew them.
Then, in 2001, I happened across Crossing Over with John Edward.
Something in me lit up.
I didn’t simply find the work interesting. I had an unmistakable feeling:
This is real. And somehow, I’m supposed to understand this.
That knowing began a journey that has taken me through more than two decades of study, professional practice, teaching, and mentorship.
Along the way, I’ve trained with respected teachers and mediums from the U.S., Canada, and the U.K.
I also hold two degrees in education and have worked with hundreds of people through private readings, classes, events, mentoring, and spiritual guidance.
But perhaps the most important thing I bring into this classroom is this:
I remember what it feels like to be at the beginning.
I know what it’s like to have questions you aren’t quite sure who to ask.
To wonder whether an experience means anything.
To feel drawn toward something before you understand where that path may lead.
That’s why I don’t teach mediumship as entertainment, as something reserved for a chosen few, or as a race to prove how “gifted” you are.
I teach it as a practice that deserves curiosity, discernment, ethics, responsibility, patience, and a strong foundation.
My job isn’t to tell you what you must believe.
It’s to give you a grounded place to learn, experience, ask questions, and begin discovering what makes sense for you.
“I loved the class. Thank you so much for your gentle and encouraging teaching.”
-Rebecca L.

Frequently Asked Questions
🌿 Do I need previous mediumship experience?
No. This course was created for beginners.
You do not need to identify as a medium or have a history of dramatic spiritual experiences. Curiosity and a willingness to learn and practice are enough to begin.
🌿 What if I’m interested in mediumship but have never had any experience with Spirits?
You’re still welcome.
Some students arrive after years of unusual experiences. Others simply feel deeply curious or drawn toward the subject.
This course gives you a framework and opportunities to explore without requiring you to prove an ability first.
🌿 Is mediumship safe?
Fear around mediumship is common, particularly for people who grew up hearing that spirit communication was dangerous or something to avoid.
Responsible development includes boundaries, discernment, intentional practice, and learning how to begin and end your work with structure.
You will never be encouraged to chase frightening experiences or surrender your own judgment.
🌿 What if I grew up believing mediumship was wrong?
You’re welcome to bring those questions into the room.
I’ll teach the framework through which I have come to understand and practice mediumship, but you are invited to learn, ask questions, consider your own experiences, and decide what fits within your personal understanding.
This course is not designed to pressure you into abandoning your religious or spiritual beliefs.
🌿 Will I have to give readings?
Practice is an important part of learning mediumship, but you will not be dropped into a reading on Day One and expected to know what you’re doing.
We build toward practice gradually.
The goal is development—not performance.
🌿 What if everyone else is better at this than I am?
Mediumship does not unfold identically for everyone.
Some people notice visual impressions easily. Others receive information through feeling, knowing, hearing, or other subtle forms of awareness.
Part of this course is discovering your natural way of receiving information.
🌿 What if I miss a live class?
Live classes are recorded and made available to enrolled students.
Attending live gives you the best opportunity to ask questions and participate, but missing an occasional class doesn’t mean losing access to the teaching.
🌿 Are the Tuesday practice sessions required?
No. They’re optional opportunities for additional guided practice and coaching.
🌿 Will this course make me ready to work professionally?
No, and I think that distinction matters.
This course provides a professional foundation, not professional certification.
Responsible professional mediumship requires continued development, practice, experience, ethics, and readiness.
If professional work eventually becomes your goal, this course gives you a strong starting point.
🌿 What happens after the course ends?
You’ll leave knowing what to continue practicing and what your possible next steps may be. Students who want continued community, practice, or more advanced development working with me will be invited to join my online community, Alumni Circle.
There is no requirement to continue.

Maybe You’ve Been Trying to Make Sense of This for a While
People find their way to mediumship development for many different reasons.
Some have been intuitive for years but never had language for what they were experiencing.
Some begin noticing unusual experiences after the death of someone they love.
Some grew up believing spirit communication was wrong, dangerous, or something they shouldn’t explore.
And some simply encounter mediumship and feel an unmistakable inner response:
I think this is real. And I think I’m supposed to understand it.
That was part of my own beginning.
You don’t need to know whether you’re a medium before you take this course.
You don’t need to prove anything. And you don’t need to arrive with all the answers.
You simply need a trustworthy place to learn, ask questions, practice, and discover what your own experience may have to teach you.
